A Home Built on Care and Quiet Presence
Stillmoor began with a simple belief: that senior care should feel less like a facility and more like a home. Our residence in Hang Dong offers the kind of peaceful environment where residents can live at their own rhythm, surrounded by attentive people who genuinely care.

Our Story
Stillmoor was founded in 2019 by a small group of caregivers who had worked in various senior living settings throughout Thailand. What they noticed repeatedly was that many facilities, while well-meaning, operated at a pace that felt hurried and institutional. Residents were moved through routines on fixed schedules, interactions felt transactional, and the environment rarely felt like home.
They imagined something different. A place where care would be attentive but unhurried. Where the same caregiver would work with the same resident day after day, allowing for real familiarity. Where the surroundings would be peaceful rather than clinical. Where activities would be offered as invitations rather than obligations.
The location in Hang Dong was chosen deliberately. The highland countryside south of Chiang Mai offers clean air, mountain views, and a slower pace of life. Rice fields stretch out in every direction. Local markets are quiet and welcoming. It's far enough from the city to feel genuinely peaceful, yet close enough that family members can visit without difficulty.
Today, Stillmoor serves a small community of residents who value this approach. We maintain a limited number of private rooms to ensure that care remains personal and unhurried. Our staff are trained not just in the practical aspects of daily support, but in the quieter skills of reading comfort cues, respecting preferences, and being present without being intrusive.
Our Care Team
Each member of our team brings patience, kindness, and a genuine commitment to making residents feel at home.
Niran Suwan
Director of Care
Niran oversees daily care operations and ensures that each resident's preferences and routines are respected. She has worked in senior support for over 12 years and values listening as much as assisting.
Preecha Chantara
Wellness Coordinator
Preecha develops the activity program and leads walks, breathing exercises, and creative sessions. His approach focuses on offering opportunities for calm engagement rather than scheduled obligations.
Somchai Kaew
Lead Caregiver
Somchai works directly with residents on daily routines. He is skilled at reading when someone needs assistance and when they prefer to manage independently, adjusting his involvement accordingly.
Our Care Approach
We maintain thoughtful practices that prioritize comfort, dignity, and unhurried attention.
Consistent Caregivers
We assign the same caregiver to work with the same resident whenever possible. This allows for trust, familiarity, and a genuine understanding of each person's preferences.
Home-Like Environment
Our residence feels more like a highland home than a facility. Common areas include a cloud-view terrace, a garden, and cozy reading spaces where residents can spend time as they choose.
Flexible Routines
We work around each resident's natural rhythm rather than imposing rigid schedules. Morning assistance, meals, and activities are adjusted to what feels comfortable for each individual.
Privacy and Dignity
We respect each resident's need for privacy and autonomy. Assistance is offered discreetly, and decisions about daily activities remain entirely with the resident.
Family Connection
We encourage family involvement through open visiting policies, monthly written updates, and regular communication. Your loved one's well-being is a shared priority.
Calm Activities
Our wellness program emphasizes peaceful engagement: morning breathing exercises on the terrace, nature walks, creative projects, and visits to local craft markets.
What Guides Our Work
Patience Over Productivity
We understand that care cannot be rushed. Whether it's assistance with getting dressed in the morning, enjoying a meal, or simply sitting together in comfortable silence, our staff are trained to work at the resident's pace rather than their own. What matters is not how quickly tasks are completed, but that they feel comfortable and respectful throughout.
Listening Before Acting
Every resident has unique preferences, concerns, and ways of expressing comfort or discomfort. We train our caregivers to observe carefully, ask questions gently, and adjust their approach based on what they learn. Sometimes the most important part of care is simply paying attention.
Presence Over Programming
Our wellness activities are offered as opportunities rather than obligations. If a resident prefers to spend the morning in quiet reflection rather than joining a group walk, that choice is respected. We believe that well-being comes from feeling free to choose, not from being kept busy.
Highland Living, Thai Warmth
Our location in Hang Dong reflects the kind of environment we want to create: peaceful, elevated, and rooted in Thai hospitality. The mountain air is fresh, the views are expansive, and the surrounding countryside moves at a gentle pace. This setting naturally encourages the kind of calm, unhurried approach that defines our care philosophy.
